Packaged with care
Growing up in a neighborhood with people from many different cultures, I loved being invited over and tasting food I’d never experienced. Like music that can transport you to another time and place, food can do the same.
I discovered early that I could get the people I loved to linger around the house a little longer if there was some tasty, fresh from the oven treat. Bringing people together with great food restores and comforts my soul.
When I love someone, I bake. When someone is going thru a rough patch, I bake. When there is a celebration, I bake. For me, baking is life.
The alchemy achieved by blending high quality, natural ingredients and flavors, is something I’m proud of. I’d like to think that the people who made that first batch of gougères would be as thrilled as I am with the taste combinations we’ve come up with. While paying homage to the original, we’d like to think we’ve built upon those time honored recipes, and, with a few innovative additions, made them even better.
